Google search is going to become a secondary thing for most people in the not too distant future. 95% of the time I’m merely looking for an answer to a specific question, and ChatGPT does that 324 times better than a Google search. Combine that with the fact that I’m looking for a product maybe 3% of the time, and want an ad for a competitor 0% of the time, and Google ad revenue starts cratering.
Is there a single person on the face of the planet who thinks "Oh man, thank goodness for Facebook’s ‘See more...’ feature! I love it! Can't wait to click on it! So great!"? I'm going with no, there is no such human.
Being offended and being justified in that offense are two different things.
Here is something I would like to know: How many millions of person hours every day are wasted by clicking on those stupid cookie warnings? Thanks for that, European Union.
I asked on Facebook: “We need a word that means ‘the feeling of unwarranted outrage on behalf of another person that the person themselves doesn't actually feel’, as in ‘Lots of people are feeling <new word> over Luke Combs cover of Tracy Chapman's 'Fast Car’'. My friend Linda Maninno Frank came up with "infauxriated” and this cannot be topped.
