Ten Things that Occurred to Me #16

1.  I get this quote: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."  But that could also be the definition for “Practicing my golf swing,” right?

2. There is no such thing as the science of predicting the future.  Predictions are not falsifiable, and science must be falsifiable.

3. I for one am quite pleased to see that Alex Jones has been blatantly exposed as this miserable, pathetic, lying sack of shit that he truly is.

4. Isn’t what we call a “drumstick” really just a “chicken calf”?

5. Do people seriously want a folding phone?  Why? I confess I don’t get it.

6. Words are not violence in any shape or form. Sorry. Believing so is an insult to victims of real violence.

7. I don’t know much about Global Warming. I don’t know if anything can be done about it without reverting to the Stone Age.  But I do know this: The human race is very, very smart and very, very capable, and we can deal with it.  Here’s a perfect example. 

8. I went to check on the domain name ‘nickhodges.dev’ to see if it was registered and was bummed to see it was.  Checked to see by whom and realized it was me three years ago.  I'm getting old.

9. Has anyone stopped to wonder why Superman had a cape?  I mean, what for? Didn’t he watch this video?

10. I took this performance assessment and scored 44 -- not too great.  Personal productivity is big business, and I read my fair share.  I definitely could improve in this area. I think it’s one of those things that you want some of but not too much of.
