Ten Things that Occurred to Me #18

1. We all know it’s not a serious TV drama until someone says, “I’ll do anything to protect this family.”

2. I am not above putting something on my ToDo list that I have already completed and then crossing it off.

3. One of the most important things I’ve learned is the importance of admitting that you are wrong and that you don’t know.  If you can’t -- or worse, won’t -- do those two things, life will be very frustrating and no fun for you. It will likely be the same for many around you.

4. Remember, kids, no matter what any NFL announcer may say, no team is forced to punt on fourth down.  They always choose to do so.

5. Instagram Account of the Month: adailycloud -- absolutely delightful.

6. I don’t understand people who rush -- or even pay! -- to get on an airplane as soon as possible.  I want to spend as little time as possible crammed in there and almost always board last.

7. Every nuclear plant that gets shut down is replaced with a plant burning fossil fuels.  That should be patently obvious, right?

8. Being at the front of the line waiting for a left turn signal is a very big responsibility -- a responsibility that many people don’t take seriously enough.

9. If I’ve learned one thing about the Internet, it is that it is one big bias confirmation machine.

10. I wonder how much paper gets wasted every day by retail stores printing out totally unwanted receipts. Has to be a staggering amount.
