Ten Things That Occurred to Me #27
Here’s something I have never understood -- the notion that one should “listen to an album as a whole.” An album has never been anything other than a collection of different songs to me. I guess I’m missing something.
It is my opinion that most Ivy League colleges and other schools with ridiculously huge endowments should not charge any tuition.

Fighting in the NHL is stupid and detrimental to the popularity of the game. I accept none of the arguments in support of it. It simply is ridiculous, childish even.
I think one of the silliest things people do -- and I did it for years -- is refuse to believe factual things that they don't want to be true. I see it everywhere. It's particularly visible when someone says "I don't believe that fact you just pointed out because it was told to me by <source that I think is biased against me>."
One of the managers at my new company said today “None of the other vendors is…” and my heart leapt and skipped a bit.
Something it took me a while to realize: Just because many people are worried about something doesn’t mean anyone actually needs to be worried about it.
Companies ot allowing people to work from home -- or wherever they want -- is incredibly short-sighted. I know it doesn’t work for all jobs, but it works for a large portion. A company that has employees that can and want to work from home and that doesn’t let them will suffer in the long run.
