Ten Things That Occurred to Me #30

1. Now that I have them, I am starting to wonder how I lived life without prescription sunglasses. Actually, I have a set of sunglasses with no rims that click onto my regular glasses via little magnets.  But still, very cool and so useful.

2. I'm starting to believe that the single most irritating thing on the whole internet is that little chatbot thing that pops up in the lower right corner of a website. 

3. I think the biggest and most important disruption that needs to occur in our society is education.  Our current system is from the Victorian Era or earlier and is designed to produce factory workers.  It hasn’t changed its production and delivery method in multiple centuries. Nothing could be farther from what is needed in today's digital age. 

4. As I type this, the Boston Red Sox have a better record than the Minnesota Twins. Boston is in last place.  The Twins are in first place.  Baseball is the best.

5. Remember, kids, an allegedly "woke" company requires exactly zero government intervention.

6. People complain about crypto being used by criminals to conduct nefarious things, but cash is an outstanding way to commit those same nefarious things, and no one seems to complain about cash.

7. Artificial Intelligence will put people out of work in exactly the same way that Lotus 1-2-3 did.

8. The left side of my work laptop’s keyboard has an FN key where 100% of the known universe expects there to be a CTRL key, with the CTRL key to the right of it.  They then have a feature in the BIOS that you can toggle to switch them.  If you don’t laugh, you are going to cry, I guess.

9. I hereby declare the rule against splitting infinitives as null and void.  

10. Interestingly, video players in browsers don’t seem to have “expand to browser window” options. It’s either a fixed width in the browser or full screen.
