Ten Things That Occurred to Me #37

1. I am 100% convinced that you could line up all the federal employees in a line, have them count off, 1 to 4, and then tell the 1's to get back to work and fire the 2s, 3s, and 4s -- and we wouldn't even notice.

2. I think it is wrong -- whether you want to finagle some way to forgive student loans or steal an election -- to just keep looking around for some lawyer that will tell you what you want to hear so you can justify what you want to do.

3. Expecting someone to take responsibility for the consequences of their actions is not "blaming the victim".  

4. All things considered, it's clear to me that there isn't enough garlic in our food.

5. Surely I am not the only one who thinks that the Olympics are somehow lessened by the inclusion of break dancing?  

6. In my experience, when someone starts out a response with “So what you are really saying is…,” the thing that follows is a bunch of stuff that I *didn't* say.

7. Large groups of people are always going to be divided. Always. Our Republic here in the US is an excellent way of dealing with those divisions. We are *supposed* to be divided, and it is just fine if things are sometimes "divisive". That's the way the world works. That's how it is supposed to work in the government. The notion of "unity" is, frankly, at the heart of things like fascism.

8. One-time Passcodes of longer than 6 digits are evil and should be outlawed. 

9. When it comes to stock TV characters, is there one any better than "Douchey Cop who loves to break down doors?" The guy always has a mustache, too.

10. It seems to me that the use cases for electric bicycles are quite numerous. I can see owning one and using it in a myriad of ways where I would have otherwise used a car.
